Job summary

Dignity Health – Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, AZ seeks a General Maintenance Engineer to support hospital operations across the complex. You will perform maintenance tasks, assist tradespeople, and repair equipment to ensure a safe, functional environment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical/electrical systems, plumbing, and preventive maintenance, plus constructing and repairing hospital furniture and framework using power tools as required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• One year of experience in one or more trades.
• Experience performing related mechanical and/or electrical work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality of workmanship and judicious use of materials and supplies.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
• Perform plumbing tasks including installation and repair of equipment.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance as scheduled by work orders.
• Construct, repair, and maintain hospital furniture, partitions, doors, windows, floors and framework; use power tools as needed.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our General Maintenance Engineer, you will perform a variety of essential duties related to building operations and maintenance throughout the Hospital complex, ensuring a safe and functional environment.

Every day you will contribute to the upkeep of our facilities by performing tasks related to carpentry and painting when required. You will also assist skilled tradesmen and other workers in completing their tasks, and competently complete repairs on maintenance machinery and mechanical equipment.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate versatile skills in general maintenance, a proactive approach to facility upkeep, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure the seamless operation of hospital buildings and equipment.

• Maintains responsibility for the quality of individual workmanship in all projects completed and judicious use of all materials and supplies
• Performs diagnostic, trouble-shooting functions on mechanical and electrical systems
• Performs plumbing functions, relating to installation of new equipment and repairs of old equipment
• Performs routine preventive maintenance functions on a scheduled basis, as directed by the preventive maintenance work orders
• Ability to construct, repair and/or maintain furniture, partitions, doors, windows, floors and hospital framework when requested: ability to use power tools during the performance of such tasks

• May consider experience performing related mechanical and/or electrical work including trouble shooting skills
