Job summary

Thread-Craft, Inc is seeking a General Machinist to join a versatile manufacturing team. You will operate CNC machines, manual lathes, grinders, milling machines, and other precision equipment, reading blueprints and instructions to produce precise components.

You’ll support multiple departments and contribute to continuous improvements in quality and efficiency. Ideal candidates have a strong machining foundation, are eager to learn, and can work independently while collaborating with a team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Machinist apprenticeship, vocational training, or equivalent hands-on machining experience.
  • Experience operating manual and/or CNC machining equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain a variety of machining equipment including CNC machines, manual lathes, milling machines, grinders, and saws.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Assist with additional manufacturing tasks as business needs require.

In this role, you'll serve as a versatile machining professional, supporting multiple manufacturing departments based on business needs. You'll gain exposure to a wide variety of machining operations, including CNC machining, manual lathes, grinding, milling, drilling, and other precision manufacturing processes.

Product knowledge can be taught. We're looking for someone who brings a strong machining foundation, a willingness to learn, a great work ethic, and the initiative to continuously improve.

Requirements
What you’ll do

As a General Machinist, you will:

  • Operate and maintain a variety of machining equipment including:
    • CNC machines
    • Manual lathes
    • Milling machines
    • grinders
    • Saws
    • Other precision manufacturing equipment
  • Support multiple manufacturing departments based on production priorities.
