Job summary

Orion Castings in North Billerica, MA, is seeking a detail-oriented General Machine Operator for the 1st shift. You will learn to operate CNC machinery, load and unload parts, and monitor production cycles while maintaining high quality and a clean, safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Learn to safely load and unload casting components into CNC production machinery.
  • Use basic precision measuring equipment to inspect machined parts (training provided).
  • Maintain established production rates and workflow.
  • Detect and report defective materials, machine variances, or abnormal conditions to the shift supervisor.
  • Perform continuous quality inspections and keep inspection logs up to date.
  • Follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures.
