Description

This is a faculty position within the library. The Electronic Resources and Metadata Librarian helps manage electronic resources and serves as the primary metadata librarian for electronic and print materials.

Responsibilities

  • Manage access to electronic resources, including updating online journals and e-books, troubleshooting access issues, and collaborating with vendors and library staff.
  • Develop and maintain bibliographic metadata for various materials, assist with cataloging and digitization projects, and organize archival collections.
  • Serve as a liaison for faculty regarding open access agreements.
  • Participate in professional organizations and contribute to library publications.
  • Prepare acquisition and usage reports, and manage inventory updates.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Library and/or Information Science from an ALA-accredited program.
  • At least two years of post-graduate library experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of integrated library systems and electronic resource management.

Additional Information

Salary range: $50,000 - $55,000. Located in Shreveport, LA. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement options.
