Distinct Recruitment is assisting a client in Jacksonville, FL, to hire a Litigation Attorney specializing in General Liability Defense. The role is hybrid, based in Jacksonville, with a broad salary range ($125,000–$200,000) and strong autonomy for experienced litigators.

Responsibilities include handling premises liability, negligent security, products, and commercial general liability claims, owning files, taking key depositions, and arguing motions with the potential for first-chair trials

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Florida civil litigation experience, insurance defense ideally.
• Someone who prefers being trusted to being supervised.

Responsibilities

• You'll handle premises liability, negligent security, products and commercial general liability claims.
• You'll own your files and set the strategy, with partners available for advice.
• You'll take depositions that matter, including corporate representatives and liability experts.
• You'll argue your own motions and attend your own hearings.
• You'll prepare cases for trial and try them, first chair when you're ready.
• You'll report directly to adjusters and build relationships with insured clients.
