Essential duties include handling settlements within authority, preparing accurate documentation, and coordinating with claimants and vendors to drive timely resolutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree required.
• 8–11 years of work experience required; 12–14 years preferred.
• Strong knowledge of liability claims, evaluation, and settlements.

Responsibilities

• Handle a portfolio of moderate to high-complexity liability matters.
• Approve actions, authorize settlements within authority, and ensure policy compliance.
• Apply investigative and analytical skills to evaluate liability, damages, and exposure.
• Check and correct claim documentation, evaluations, and financials for accuracy.
• Negotiate outcomes and coordinate actions to close matters efficiently.
• Interface with claimants, vendors, and external parties to gather information.

Our client has Retained The Carlisle Group to conduct a search for a General Liability Adjuster. Our client is a well-respected P&C Insurance organization.

Acts as a specialist by independently handling moderately complex liability matters and applying advanced judgment to evaluate exposure and resolution strategy. Applies highly developed analytical skills to assess facts, coverage, and risk while authorizing appropriate actions within established authority. Provides guidance to internal partners and stakeholders by advising them on best practices, outcomes, and procedural requirements.

Essential Functions

• Acts as a specialist by managing a portfolio of moderate to higher-complexity liability matters while exercising independent judgment and accountability for outcomes.
• Handles assigned matters by approving actions, authorizing settlements within authority, and ensuring alignment with established guidelines and controls.
• Apply highly developed investigative and analytical skills to evaluate liability, damages, and exposure and determine appropriate resolution strategies.
• Checks and corrects claim documentation, evaluations, and financials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and procedural compliance.
• Executes resolution activities by negotiating outcomes, coordinating required actions, and closing matters efficiently and effectively.
• Coordinates externally by interfacing with claimants, representatives, vendors, and other external parties to gather information and advance resolution.
• Advises and provide guidance to internal partners by consulting on complex issues, interpreting requirements, and recommending courses of action.
• Coaches less experienced staff by sharing expertise, offering feedback, and reinforcing best practices through informal mentoring.
