The ideal candidate has a JD, bar admission in Texas, 5+ years of trial experience in general liability, strong research and writing skills, and the ability to manage a heavy caseload while maintaining professional ethics.

Qualifications

• A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Texas.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a trial attorney, preferably in general liability.

Responsibilities

• Representing clients in all stages of litigation from filing to trial and appeal.
• Preparing and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, and engaging in discovery.
• Handling a caseload of general liability matters including insurance defense, premises and product liability, trucking and transportation, toxic tort, and asbestos.
• Conducting extensive legal research and writing to develop case strategies.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Negotiating settlements, mediating disputes, and representing clients in arbitration proceedings.
• Collaborating with other attorneys and support staff to ensure effective case management.
