Job Overview:
A prominent litigation firm in Agoura Hills is seeking a skilled General Liability Attorney with significant experience in insurance defense, civil litigation, and personal injury. This position requires a highly organized and proactive attorney who thrives in a dynamic, high-pressure environment and is adept at managing multiple client matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense litigation, with a proven track record of drafting legal documents, taking and defending depositions, and preparing cases for trial.

Location:

• Agoura Hills, CA

Duties:

• Represent clients in insurance defense and civil litigation matters, including personal injury cases.
• Draft and prepare legal documents, including discovery motions, motions for summary judgment, and trial motions.
• Take and defend depositions at all levels (witnesses, parties, and experts).
• Manage and prioritize client matters in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Perform legal research and analysis to support case development.
• Provide clear and effective written and verbal communication with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
• Assist in preparing cases for trial, including formulating strategies and handling pre-trial motions.
• Collaborate with the legal team to ensure client matters are handled efficiently and effectively.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in insurance defense, civil litigation, and personal injury.
• Strong proficiency in drafting discovery motions, motions for summary judgment, and trial motions.
• Ability to take and defend depositions, including expert and party depositions.
• Strong analytical, research, and legal writing skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing high-quality legal work.
• Proven ability to manage high volumes of cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Must be licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of California.
• Experience with Abacus software is a must.
• Spanish-speaking skills are a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership with the State Bar of California.
