PART TIME, 20 HOURS/WEEK

Job Summary
Oversee legal aspects of the organization, providing legal advice and guidance on company strategies and their legal implementation, supporting operations and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and general counsel on a wide range of matters, including contracts, compliance, litigation, employment law and other legal issues.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Identify and manage legal risks, developing strategies to mitigate potential liabilities.
  • Develop and review legal policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Education, License And Experience Required

  • A Law Degree from an accredited Law School
  • Must be a member in good standing of the State Bar of Texas and currently licensed to practice law in Texas
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a licensed attorney

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Strong legal knowledge and expertise in the relevant areas of law to include healthcare, corporate, and employment.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively
  • Professionalism, strong work ethic, and a sense of compassion
  • Proficiency in technology with expertise in using legal research databases, document management systems, and communication software.
  • Advanced proficiency in all Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases/projects, meet deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a virtual environment
