Position: General Ledger/Revenue Staff Accountant (Remote)

This is a remote position. Ability to work Central time zone business hours. Must be based in the United States.

Job Summary

The General Ledger/Revenue Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing balance sheet reconciliations for intracompany transactions, managing the rebate process, and preparing related monthly journal entries. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of GAAP and the ability to apply accounting principles practically. This role involves collaboration with the cash team, general ledger accountants, and cross-functional teams within the organization.

Responsibilities
  1. Ownership of intracompany processes: including monthly intracompany elimination analysis, entries, supporting schedules, and reconciliation, as well as communication with hospitals regarding intracompany invoicing.
  2. Ownership of the rebate process: preparing quarterly rebate payout files, reconciling related GL accounts, and coordinating with teams to meet payout schedules.
  3. Monthly journal entries: for B2B revenue recognition and AR reconciliations.
  4. Balance sheet reconciliations: identifying discrepancies, proposing corrections, and following up on aged items.
  5. Revenue journal entries: including accruals, deferred revenue, and adjustments, with proper coding.
  6. Flux analysis: for monthly P&L reviews.
  7. Financial closing: assisting with month, quarter, and year-end processes, including analysis and summarization.
  8. Audit support: preparing schedules for external and internal audits.
  9. Process improvement: contributing to automation and internal control enhancements.
  10. Documentation: developing and maintaining business processes to strengthen internal controls.
Key Qualifications
  • 3+ years of general ledger experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or comparable experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets and prepare complex journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Experience with intracompany transactions is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a multi-unit organization is a plus.
  • Strong time management, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, identify improvement opportunities, and adapt to changes.
  • Effective communication skills with a positive attitude.
  • Experience with Workday and proficiency in MS Office.
