Job summary

Foundever is seeking a detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to join our Shared Services Centre. You will support month-, quarter-, and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and intercompany accounting.

You will collaborate with Country Controllers and finance teams to ensure compliance with local GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP, contribute to audit prep, financial analysis, process documentation and continuous improvement within accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Actively studying towards CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualification is an advantage.
• 2-3 years directly related work experience.
• Previous experience with shared service centers is an advantage.
• Knowledge of local GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP.
• Knowledge of internal controls over financial reporting and internal control procedures.
• Excellent conversational and written knowledge in English.
• Excellent conversational and written knowledge in French.
• Excellent knowledge of MS office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Previous experience with ERP where SAP experience is an advantage.
• Analytical skills with attention to details and accuracy.
• Self-motivated, proactive and disciplined.
• Ability to multitask to meet deadlines; delivery focused.
• Willingness to drive and own processes.
• Ability to assess, recommend and implement process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all General Ledger journals and ensure their accuracy, correct authorization and maintenance of relevant supporting evidence
• Prepare accurate US GAAP, IFRS and Management Accounts in adherence to the Month-, Quarter- and Year- End Global Close Schedule
• Support the preparation of accurate Statutory Accounts in adherence to the statutory deadlines
• Close liaise with the Business Unit to ensure a good understanding of business developments
• Prepare accruals, reconciliations and analysis of the company accounts on a monthly basis and ensures their timely completion
• Apply Foundever standards and comply with Foundever Accounting and Reporting Guidelines and local GAAP and IFRS
• Record intercompany invoices in accordance with the Global close schedule.

You will work closely with business units, Country Controllers and finance colleagues to ensure compliance with Foundever accounting policies, local GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP. The role also contributes to audit preparation, financial analysis, process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting function.
