Job Title: General Ledger Accountant – Private Equity
Location: Remote (U.S. Only)
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly capable General Ledger Accountant with a strong foundation in GAAP and public accounting to join our private equity finance team. This role is integral to managing core accounting functions and ensuring accurate reporting of portfolio activity. The ideal candidate brings precision, initiative, and a collaborative mindset, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage critical areas of the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals
• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Maintain complete and accurate balance sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and quarter-end close processes
• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit-related deliverables
• Partner with investment and operations teams to ensure correct accounting treatment of portfolio activity
• Identify and implement process improvements and technology-driven solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial projects as needed
• Communicate fluidly across multiple channels—email, phone, text, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA license or active progress toward CPA strongly preferred
• 2–4 years of public accounting experience
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and accrual-based accounting
• Proven experience preparing audit-ready financials and external reports
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience in private equity, fund accounting, or multi-entity structures is a plus
