Job summary

Net2Source (N2S) is seeking a GL Accountant in Los Angeles, California for a 2-month contract with possible extension. You will manage accounting activities related to maintaining an accurate general ledger and preparing financial documents like income statements and balance sheets.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate, and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Experience with MRI systems is a plus.

Overview

Duration: 2 months; Possible for extension

Day to Day tasks

• Handle day-to-day accounting tasks
• Prepare financial documents including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow, and budget.
• Ensure the general ledger, taxes, and other financial information data are correct and up to date.
• Close month-end accounting entries and reconcile balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
• Post to GL and reviews variances to budget and review data to forecast changes to the business.
• Review variance explanation reports for accuracy.
• Track accounts receivable and confirm all payments are properly recorded. Check all accounts to make sure they have the correct balances.
• Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• MRI system experience is a plus
• Basic computer functions
