Job summary

Carmeuse Lime & Stone Inc. seeks a Seasonal/Temporary General Laborer to support production areas with general plant labor and cleanup. The role involves equipment operation, monitoring conditions, and reporting issues to prevent product nonconformity.

Training across entry-level positions will occur to cover vacations and peak demand periods. Experience with millwright or trained equipment operators is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform general plant labor and clean-up of production areas.
• Willing to work overtime and rotating shifts.
• Communicate effectively in verbal and written form; perform basic math functions.

Responsibilities

• General labor and clean-up of production areas.
• Observe, monitor and report any conditions which could lead to product nonconformity.
• Operate heavy equipment/machinery in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Clean, inspect, and maintain/secure all equipment in compliance with MSHA, and company policies and guidelines.
• Replace or assist other workers as needed or directed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Seasonal/Temporary General Laborer - Utility position requirements include, but are not limited to, general plant labor and clean-up of production areas; maintenance, observation, monitoring and reporting any conditions that could lead to product nonconformity or other irregularity; being trained in various entry-level production positions and filling in as needed during vacations, absences, and increased production demands. Operating small equipment; replacing or assisting other workers as needed or directed; and other duties as assigned by management. Millwright experience and/or experienced equipment operators preferred but not required.
