Job description

We want you to help troubleshoot and maintain the infrastructure at a mining data center located in Lufkin, Texas. As a Tech I, you will be responsible for:

We’re looking for a team player with hands-on IT experience and a willingness to learn. In this role, you will work with state-of-the-art computing and networking equipment to ensure high uptime and fast resolution for our client. If you have curiosity and drive to learn about IT and computers, we will teach you the role.

Responsibilities:

• Performing daily maintenance and repair of computing machines (training provided)
• Basic network troubleshooting (training provided)
• Monitoring system performance and responding to outages
• Maintaining and receiving inventory (must be able to lift 40 lbs.)
• Other duties and projects may be assigned

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position (standing) for the majority of the shift
• Frequently move about the site and inside containers to access miners
• Position self to maintain computers in the containers, including top and bottom of racking equipment
• Inspect miners regularly
• Occasionally move miners weighing up to 40 pounds across the site for retrieval, diagnostics, etc.
• Work in outdoor weather conditions and noisy environments
• Exchange information effectively
