Job description

Overview

Responsible for the day-to-day production duties as assigned. Ensures adherence to all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), SSOPs (Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures), as well as all other food safety and quality assurance audits to meet government, third-party, and company standards.

Production employees perform a variety of manual tasks involving handling materials, using hand tools, machinery, and equipment. This work is physically demanding, requiring the use of various body parts and muscle groups. Good hand-eye coordination and upper extremity motor skills are essential. Additional specific responsibilities may apply depending on the role.

Responsibilities
Essential Work Postures, Movements, Lifting, and Carrying
  1. Standing continuously in one location for extended periods (up to 2-3 hours before break).
  2. Climbing or moving on ladders, steps, stairwells, walkways, and platforms.
  3. Carrying, lifting, lowering, pushing, and pulling heavy and/or awkward objects, including lifting up to 60 lbs. and moving carts, bins, or containers.
  4. Working in cold environments (20-45°F) and hot environments (80-110°F).
  5. Wearing, using, and maintaining personal protective equipment.
  6. Maintaining static or awkward postures, with neck and spine flexion, while grasping, pinching, pulling, lifting, and extending arms and hands for various tasks.
  7. Understanding and following oral and written instructions from supervisors.
  8. Additional responsibilities may be specific to certain roles.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Complying with federal inspection programs and safety policies.
  2. Maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
  3. Being available to work scheduled hours, including mandatory overtime as needed.
