Job description

Overview

Responsible for the day-to-day production duties as assigned. Ensures adherence to all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), SSOPs (Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures), and all other food safety/quality assurance audits to meet government, third-party, and company regulations.

Production employees perform various tasks requiring manual material handling, use of hand tools, machinery, and equipment. This work is physically demanding and involves the use of multiple body parts and muscle groups. Good hand-eye coordination and upper extremity motor skills are essential. Additional specific responsibilities may apply to certain roles.

Responsibilities
Essential Work Postures, Movements, Lifting, and Carrying
  1. Stand continuously in one location for extended periods (up to 2-3 hours before break).
  2. Climb or move on ladders, steps, stairwells, walkways, and platforms.
  3. Carry, lift, lower, push, and pull heavy or awkward objects, including lifting up to 60 lbs and moving carts, bins, or containers.
  4. Work in cold environments (20-45°F) and hot environments (80-110°F).
  5. Wear, use, and maintain personal protective equipment.
  6. Maintain static or awkward postures, including neck and spine flexion, while grasping, pinching, pulling, lifting, or extending arms and hands.
  7. Understand and follow oral and written instructions from supervisors and designated staff.
  8. Other essential functions may be role-specific.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Comply with federal inspection programs and company safety and health policies.
  2. Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  3. Be available for scheduled hours, including mandatory overtime as needed.

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand, twist, and bend on hard floors for prolonged periods. Capable of lifting at least 60 lbs and performing repetitive motions.

Work Environment
