Description:

This position is responsible for rail car inspection, maintenance and preparation for loading operations in accordance with FRA and AAR Regulations. Must perform inspection of railcars to identify defects and complete repairs in compliance with FRA and AAR guidelines. This position entails a great deal of physical labor and requires some mechanical ability. This is accomplished by any combination of the following duties: Use of hand tools, power tools, cutting torch, welding equipment and job specific gauges. All Titan team members must ensure that all company guidelines are met, and that all safety rules are followed when performing duties. May be asked to perform other duties as requested or required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work safe and follow all company rules and guidelines
  • Bend, stoop, kneel and squat throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs
  • Able to use hand tools, power tools, cutting torch, welding equipment and job specific gauges.
  • Complies with FRA & AAR rules when making car repairs.
  • Keep good record of repairs made.
  • Work closely with customers and other contractors.
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned.


Education and Experience:

  • No experience required - training will be provided


Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Driver's License
  • *Welding Experience needed
  • Must successfully pass a background check (post offer)


Work Environment:

Titan team members will be regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and elements, noise, and fumes from gas, oil, and grease
