Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking General Laborer team members to support production of high-quality meat products. You will operate tools and equipment, stand for long shifts, and follow safety protocols to help deliver safe food to American families.

Starting pay is $21.05 per hour with comprehensive health insurance, retirement benefits, and an education benefit for eligible employees. Overtime may be required to meet production demands, and adherence to safety and quality standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including standing for long periods.
• Willingness to work overtime as production demands.
• Able to work in cold and warm environments and wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand tools, knives, and machinery to process meat products.
• Maintain safety and quality standards on the production line.
• Follow oral and written instructions accurately and efficiently.
• Be prepared for overtime and shift work as needed.
