Position Overview: Loenbro Industrial Services Group is looking for initiative-taking individuals willing to work hard and grow in the position of General Laborer / Helper.This individual will assist welders in a shop fabrication environment with such tasks as: cutting, grinding, and prepping materials. Candidates should be willing to assist with sandblasting and painting operations and obtain certification to operate overhead cranes and forklifts when necessary.

Must be able to pass company pre-employment and random drug and alcohol tests.

Job Duties:

• Move work pieces, tools, and supplies, manually or by hand truck.
• Manually moves workpieces, tools, and supplies, or transports them using a hand truck.
• Adhere to instructions and guidelines with precision.
• Lift, move, and hold, work pieces into position as directed.
• Maintain current timecard and daily time sheet.
• Perform general clean up and assist with supply management on job sites.
• Must use PPE properly while on job sites (hard hat, safety glasses, etc.) to adhere by all safety procedures.
• Adhere to all company and customer standards and guidelines.
• Follow all customer safety standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

• GED or High School Diploma.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights 25ft).
• Must be 18 years old.
• Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-100 pounds, 50% of the time for required tasks.
• Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures, outside majority of the time.
• Manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environment.
• Fit and move in confined spaces, including tanks and vessels.
• Work is performed on limited or restricted surfaces.
• The use of X-ray machines.
• Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
• Exposure to areas with limited visibility.
• Use of respirator if position requires.
• Able to pass preliminary and periodic drug testing.
• Potential or Periodic amounts of time for the following:
• Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of two miles per day
• Standing
• Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel.
• If driving is required, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability are required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search and must be 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle.
