Smithfield Foods is seeking General Laborers to join our Smithfield, Virginia production team. You will help operate a safe, high-quality meat production line, using hand tools and machinery while supporting coworkers and adhering to safety protocols.

The role is physically demanding, with overtime possible and the need to stand for long periods. We offer competitive wages and comprehensive benefits to eligible team members.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to stand for a full 12-hour shift.
• Physically demanding work including lifting up to 60 lbs and repetitive movements.
• Work around animal products and in cold/warm environments with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand tools and machinery to process meat products.
• Maintain safety, quality, and teamwork standards on the production line.
• Follow oral and written instructions and shift schedules.
• Assist coworkers and adapt to production demands, including overtime.
