Job summary

Aecon delivers critical infrastructure projects and is seeking a Laborer, General to support field operations in Pueblo, CO. The role focuses on moving materials, site preparation, and assisting in various construction tasks on site.

The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and training; applicants should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in diverse weather conditions, with on-site training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role within construction or utilities industry.
• Team player who actively contributes to group tasks and timelines.
• Valid driver's license with annual driver’s abstract.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable with stairs, ladders, and uneven terrain.

Responsibilities

• Move materials and equipment; perform demolition, excavation, and compaction.
• Prepare and clean up construction sites.
• Handle and distribute construction materials; load/unload vehicles.
• Excavate, backfill, and compact subgrade.
• Pull or fish cables through conduits.
• Work at heights with ladders or bucket trucks (training provided).
• Use hand tools (drills, grinders, etc.).
• Perform other duties as required.
