United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a General Laborer (Matting Solutions) to support our service capabilities on projects across North America. The role involves hands-on labor, site prep, and assisting crew with erosion control, staking, and material handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• 1+ year in construction and knowledge of safety hazards.
• Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment.
• Frequent use of hand tools including power tools.
• Reading construction plans preferred.
• Willing to travel with overtime.

Responsibilities

• Install erosion and sediment control devices.
• Drive wood stakes into the ground with sledgehammers.
• Apply grass seed, fertilizer and lime to work areas; straw blanket placement.
• Clean track equipment and clear roads and accesses.
• Install T-posts, safety fencing and geotextile fabric.
• Load and unload construction materials and tools.
• Spot heavy equipment during operations.
