What You'll Do:

• General Support: This role provides general support for construction crews, including asphalt paving crews, grading crews, pipe-laying crews, asphalt plants, concrete crews, or shop maintenance.
• Promote Safety: Prioritize safety in accordance with OSHA and Vulcan standards, actively promoting a safe work environment for yourself and others.
• Perform General Physical Activities: Assist with tasks such as using hand tools, shoveling/raking materials, collecting material tickets, measuring & layout activities, and quality assurance.
• Repair and Maintain Equipment: Support co-workers in servicing, repairing, and inspecting equipment on-site.
• Inspect Equipment and Structures: Conduct daily inspections and maintenance to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations.
• Operate Vehicles and Equipment: Potential to operate heavy equipment such as Loaders, Rollers, Backhoes, Brooms, Graders, Bulldozers, and Excavators.
• Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills You'll Need:

• Experience: Previous experience in the aggregate or construction industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of Best Practices: Understanding of general principles of industrial maintenance, construction, or aggregate production is preferred.
• Flexibility: Ability to work overtime, extended hours, outdoors in all weather conditions, and tolerate loud noises.
• Mechanical Skills: Some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.
