This position is for a part-time employee.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Terminal Manager, the operator/labor hand is responsible for safely operating all Terminal equipment related to receiving, storing, transferring, and loading products via trucks or water vessels.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safe operation of equipment; maintain awareness of personal and co-worker safety; ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Perform maintenance and compliance inspections, maintaining required logs.
  • Ensure Terminal equipment, including safety devices and systems, are functioning properly; report failures.
  • Conduct daily walk-around inspections to identify risks and maintain good housekeeping.
  • Perform preventive and routine maintenance on equipment such as pumps, valves, meters, compressors, motors, tanks, pipes, and terminal buildings.
  • Communicate product outages and equipment downtime.
  • Participate in emergency situations as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience operating heavy machinery, loaders, material handlers, skid steers, and other equipment.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Willingness to work overtime and a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Experience/Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Note: Successful candidates must complete a drug screen and background check.
