Job description

Come work for America's Master Craftsmen in Restoration and Preservation! Western Specialty Contractors is currently looking for self-motivated, top-notch individuals to help serve our customers as a General Laborer at our Charlotte branch. If you are a self-motivated individual with a great work ethic and the personality to help with customer satisfaction, then we would love to meet you!

As a member of the branch production team, you will be responsible for performing work within a specific area according to accepted craft standards. Both experienced and non-experienced general laborers are encouraged to apply.

Requirements
  • Experience in a trade or craft is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate sufficient reading, writing, and math skills to understand safety policies and instructions.
  • Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, lifting/carrying 50+ pounds, climbing ladders/scaffolds, and seeing (corrected or natural).
  • Ability to work at heights, in extreme temperatures, and wear safety equipment is essential.
Responsibilities
  • Mix cement using tools or machines.
  • Load, transport, unload, and furnish materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Clean work areas and restock supplies.
  • Rig scaffolding according to guidelines.
  • Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing materials.
  • Perform minor maintenance or cleaning of tools and equipment.
  • Remove rough spots from concrete and patch holes as needed.
  • Wear safety equipment at all times.
  • Perform concrete/masonry restoration tasks such as patching, tuckpointing, brick replacement, and caulking (preferred).
  • Provide your own hand tools if requested.
  • Work weekends, nights, out of town, and at heights as needed.
  • Have reliable transportation.
