Job description

What You’ll Do:

• Promote Safety: Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
• Perform General Physical Activities: Assist with the operation of the plant, including using hand tools, cleaning, washing, sweeping, and shoveling materials.
• Repair and Maintain Equipment: Support co-workers in servicing, repairing, and adjusting equipment throughout the plant.
• Inspect Equipment and Structures: Conduct daily inspections and maintenance to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations that maximize production.
• Operate Vehicles and Equipment: Operate heavy construction equipment or similar machinery to assist with plant operations.
• Additional Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned.

Skills You’ll Need:

• Experience: Prior experience in the aggregate or construction industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of Best Practices: Familiarity with industrial maintenance, construction, or aggregate production principles is preferred.
• Flexibility: Ability to work overtime and extended hours, outdoors in all weather conditions, and tolerate loud noises.
• Mechanical Skills: Basic knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.
