Job summary

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC is seeking a General Laborer for the 1st shift to support packaging operations in a seasonal role. You will perform packaging tasks, label containers accurately and help maintain an orderly work area.

The position runs 1st shift (6:00 AM – 2:00 PM), Monday through Friday with Saturdays required during peak season and potential overtime. High school diploma or equivalent and warehouse experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6+ months of previous warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fill containers to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications
• Feed product to conveyors and unload packaged product
• Replenish packaging supplies such as wrapping paper, plastic sheets, boxes, and cartons
• Assist in loading packaging supplies
• Attach information on containers such as lot numbers or product numbers
• Ensure correct and complete labeling is printed and applied to packaging
• Remove finished product from outfeed and stack in totes or cartons
• Maintain a clean work area including sweeping and removal of cardboard and trash
• Perform other duties as assigned

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

Compensation

The expected hourly rate for this position is $16.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined by experience and other factors permitted by law.
