Job description

We are seeking a dedicated general laborer to join our team in a dynamic fence and gate fabrication shop. The ideal candidate will assist in various tasks including general clean up, shop organization, pipe cutting, and supporting fabrication processes. The role requires flexibility to work both indoors and outdoors as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general clean-up and organization of the shop.
• Participate in pipe cutting and fabrication tasks.
• Support the fabrication team as a welder helper.
• Operate forklifts for loading and unloading materials.
• Use hand and power tools efficiently and safely.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics as required.
• Experience with general labor in a construction or fabrication setting.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Forklift operation experience is required.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors comfortably.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with a good understanding of fabrication processes.
• Experience as a welder helper is beneficial.

The work environment is primarily outdoors and requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs. The role requires flexibility to work wherever needed within the shop, with a schedule from 7am to 4pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tacoma, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00 / hr.
