Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a general laborer in Snohomish, WA to safely handle lumber products and verify that material meets customer requirements and company expectations.

You will move and stack products, label and package items, assist with loading, maintain a clean workspace, and participate in safety programs. No prior experience required; 18+ and paid at $19.50 per hour. UFP Industries is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Manufacturing or lumber experience preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Move and secure lumber products and other materials according to instructions.
• Stack finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
• Label material based on type, size, and count.
• Apply individual tags to material before/after treating/production.
• Use a staple gun and troubleshoot equipment.
• Band, bundle and secure material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Follow instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory of tags and report problems or discrepancies to supervisor.
• Record production on production sheets.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with other areas by moving material, loading and unloading material carts.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Moves and secures lumber products and other materials according to instructions
• Stacks finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements
• Labels material based on the following specifications: type, size, and count
• Applies individual tags to material before/after treating/production
• Uses a staple gun and troubleshoots equipment
• Bands, bundles and secures material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks
• Follows instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements
• Ensures correct quantities and material are strapped, and labeled before leaving the work area
• Maintains accurate inventory of tags and reports any problems or discrepancies to supervisor
• Records production on production sheets
• Maintains a clean and organized work area
• Assists with other work areas by moving material, loading and unloading material carts
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings
• Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

• No minimum experience is required, but manufacturing or lumber experience is preferred
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age
