Job Summary
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable General Laborer to support our bioprocess, chemistry, engineering, and facilities teams. The ideal candidate will assist in various general tasks essential to maintaining efficient and safe operations learning our operations as an entry level employee in the organization. Responsibilities include material handling, assembling furniture, maintaining cleanliness, stocking supplies, managing inventory, and providing manual labor support as needed across multiple departments as we work to build the first of its kind biorefinery of tomorrow. This position requires work performed on-site at CleanJoule’s facility in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Responsibilities
- Break down and organize pallets, boxes, and packaging materials.
- Assemble and arrange furniture, shelving, and other equipment as required.
- Perform regular cleanup duties in work areas, laboratories, storage areas, and other facilities.
- Stock supplies, consumables, and equipment, maintaining organized inventory spaces.
- Conduct inventory counts and report discrepancies to appropriate team members.
- Assist bioprocess, chemistry, engineering, and facilities teams with various manual labor tasks, such as moving equipment, preparing workstations, and assisting with setup.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and ensure a clean, safe working environment.
- Perform miscellaneous small tasks assigned to support overall facility operations.
- Adhere to all safety requirement at all times and in all work environments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred. In lieu of education requirement, must have at least 5 years of relevant experience in this type of role.
- Previous experience in general labor, warehouse operations, or similar role preferred.
- Ability to operate basic hand tools and equipment.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Prior experience handling flammable chemicals is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in common computer tools and web-based applications is required.
- Physical capability to frequently lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds, including bending, reaching, climbing stairs, and prolonged standing.
- Ability to follow directions accurately and complete tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and familiarity with safety protocols.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with various team members.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands
Frequent lifting and moving of items up to fifty (50) pounds, bending, reaching above shoulder level, climbing stairs, pulling, prolonged standing or sitting may be required. Must have safe work habits and perform all duties in accordance with company safety policies and practices.
