DEGESCH America, Inc. (DAI), founded in 1977, is the U.S. arm of the German-based Detia Degesch Group. Our headquarters and production facility are located in Weyers Cave, Virginia, in the Shenandoah Valley. Since opening in 1979, we have been the only producer of aluminum phosphide (Phostoxin) and magnesium phosphide (Magtoxin) fumigants in the U.S. We provide a wide range of products including fumigants, insecticides, rodenticides, grain protectants, safety equipment, and training through our nationwide network of sales and service offices.
We are currently seeking Part-Time Laborers to assist in our fumigation processes at our Reserve, LA Division Office. This is a safety-sensitive role requiring climbing ladders, steps, gangways, and kneeling, bending, reaching, and crawling for inspections, modifications, and treatments of structures. Applicants must be willing to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and be on call 24/7 when necessary. The position may require obtaining a TWIC card and working on ships or vessels in water. Candidates must follow instructions, and organizational, communication, interpersonal, and computer skills are desired. A valid Driver's License is required.
