Job summary

Scarpone And Sons Inc seeks a General Laborer to join our team. You will perform manual labor, keep the site clean, operate power tools, and assist tradespeople. Preference given to those with experience in siding, window/door installation, and familiarity with a metal break.

A strong work ethic and teamwork are essential to succeed on our projects. The ideal candidate is capable of meeting physical demands, collaborating with crew members, and following safety rules on active construction

Qualifications

• Physical demands: lifting heavy objects, digging, standing for long periods.
• NYS license with transportation to job sites.
• Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
• Minimum 1 year construction crew experience.
• Knowledge of power tools and industrial machinery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean work environment by picking up trash, excess building materials, or other potentially hazardous products.
• Provide assistance to onsite tradespeople such as sub crews, and carpenters.
• Perform daily job tasks efficiently.
• Transport materials and equipment from one location to another.
• Operate power tools and/or industrial equipment.
• Set up cones, warning signs, and any other necessary material to increase visibility.
• Construct, transfer, and tear down temporary structures such as scaffolding.
• Other manual labor tasks as required by the foreman or supervisor.
• Report any unsafe conditions or equipment in need of repair.

Experience in tasks like siding, window installation, door installation, and knowledge of how to use a break is preferred. The ideal candidate is a hard worker with the ability to meet the physical demands of the job. You must work well with others and aim to always work as a team
