Job summary

Appvion, Inc. in Nekoosa, WI is seeking a general production teammate to support waste handling, loading, unloading, and daily housekeeping in our manufacturing facilities.

You will work with the inventory team, operate light equipment, and help keep production lines clean and compliant with safety procedures.

This role offers hands-on training and opportunities to advance to higher-grade duties within a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute waste and scrap operations.
• Load/unload trucks and locate products per process.
• Unload delivery trucks and collect paperwork.
• Operate machine assets and Trimmer production as needed.
• Collect broke and waste materials from machines.
• Perform daily housekeeping and general cleanup.
• Follow documented procedures and safety rules.
• Operate tow motor and clamp truck.
• Participate in focused training to advance to higher grade duties.

Your Impact:

Perform miscellaneous or assigned duties associated with the support of General Production and Manufacturing in our Nekoosa and Wisconsin Rapids facilities.

What you’ll do:

• Execute and support all waste and scrap operations.
• Work with Inventory Control Coordinator to organize the loading/unloading of trucks, locating all products per process.
• Unload delivery trucks (packaging, pallets & misc). Collect billing paperwork and packing slips.
• Empty stretch wrap broke gaylords and put through baler
• Support all machine assets and Trimmer production as needed
• Responsible for collecting broke and waste materials from all machine assets.
• Remove empty pallets from converting and coating areas and band up full cardboard pallets
• Convert waste material into bales or other waste disposition methods.
• Perform daily housekeeping
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required, including general cleanup.
• Know, understand and follow documented procedures.
• Abide by safety rules and practices.
• Operate tow motor and clamp truck
• Focused training to learn how to operate machine assets, and develop and promote to higher grade responsibilities.
