Shirley Contracting Company, LLC - General Laborer Position

We are accepting applications for the position of General Laborer.

Qualifications

1. Work in outdoor environments in all seasons.
2. Comfortable working alongside heavy equipment and communicating with operators, workers, and pedestrians.
3. Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces with safety equipment.
4. Moderate to heavy lifting (more than 15 pounds), pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, reaching, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and squatting regularly.
5. Working knowledge of hand and power tools.
6. Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening.

Responsibilities

1. Perform flagging, traffic closures, and relevant tasks as assigned.
2. Prepare sites, dig trenches, set supports, clean up debris, and remove waste.
3. Install erosion and sediment controls.
4. Support projects through manual labor tasks.
5. Wear appropriate PPE, including safety toe boots, long pants, and shirts with four-inch sleeves; PPE will be provided.
6. Perform various tasks within the workday.
7. Maintain the company's health and safety policies.
8. Build positive relationships with customers and co-workers.

Additional Details

Job Type: Full-Time, Year-Round

Location: Various Jobsites

Working Hours: Start varies between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM; overtime, nights, and weekends may be required.
