Qualifications

• Must be proficient in English (verbal and reading).
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Experienced with standard hand and power tools.
• Observes all safety and compliance policies and uses PPE.
• Able to operate equipment (pumps, forklifts, boilers, etc.) as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily yard and equipment inspections.
• Clean and maintain yards and facilities; light maintenance and landscaping.
• Drive to vendor locations to receive/return equipment and parts.
• Operate heavy equipment as required to support operations.
• Load and unload equipment; reposition items to ease yard congestion.
• Stock shelves and maintain inventory.
• Follow safety policies and wear PPE at all times.

Position OverviewThe General Laborer is responsible for the daily upkeep and maintenance of our facilities in Long Beach, Commerce and Wilmington. This will be accomplished by focusing on the outside and inside aesthetics of our facilities and will entail light landscaping, general office maintenance and cleaning of company equipment. The person will be expected to learn a variety of skills in order to assist departments within operations which can result in promotional opportunities.Responsibilities and DutiesDaily yard and equipment inspections / auditsYard/ facility cleaning and light maintenance, which includes light landscapingDriving to and from vendors to receive/ return equipment, parts, and items.Operate heavy equipment (pumps, forklifts, boilers, compressors, yard tractors, pressure washers) for the purpose of supporting operational functionsLoading and unloading of equipmentRepositioning company equipment in order to relieve yard congestionStocking shelf and inventory controlPerform exterior cleaning of company equipment as neededOther duties as assignedAt Will EmploymentWhile we look forward to a long and profitable relationship, you will be an at will employee of the Employer, which means the employment relationship can be terminated by either of us for any reason, at any time, with or without prior notice and with or without cause.
