Harrison Western is seeking a General Laborer in Lead, South Dakota. This full-time role reports to the Field department and supports construction tasks at the Lead location with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency. The position requires standing, lifting, timely travel, and adherence to all safety regulations.

Compensation ranges from $20.00 to $27.00 per hour with multiple medical plans, vision, dental, and a 401k match. Candidates must pass screenings and have a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction experience, above or underground.
• Ability to travel extensively across the nation.
• Ability to take directions from leadership.
• Ability to recognize safety risks and hazards.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds safely.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check.
• ATF possessor preferred.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

Laborers work under the direction of crew leads, foreman or superintendents performing physical activities in support of completing construction work. This position is for our Utah location.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist crew leader with construction, reconstruction, and maintenance work
• Follow and adhere to Harrison Western safety procedures and techniques
• Keep the worksite clean and safe
• Follows project instructions from crew lead, foreman or superintendent
• Ensure regulated and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn
• Follows all health and safety policy and regulations including company policies, OHSA and MSHA
• Operates hand and power tools of all types to complete daily tasks
• Unloads tools, prepares site materials, sets up equipment and general job site organization
• Cleans and clears debris and hazardous materials
• Loads, or identify materials, machinery or tools, distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications and according to prescribed safety features
• Operates heavy equipment
• Performs other duties as assigned
