Job summary

Colonial Group in Chicago seeks a General Laborer to perform manufacturing support duties in a union, hourly, on-site setting. Your responsibilities include removing finished products from machines, labeling, packaging into bags and cartons, and placing items on skids or in designated locations.

Maintain a clean, safe work area, communicate effectively with operators and supervisors, and assist in other plant areas as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years in a manufacturing environment or general labor preferred.
• Intermediate math skills and English written communication.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs.
• General computer knowledge and paperwork handling.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safety and injury prevention.
• Inventory experience preferred.

Essential Skills and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time required
• Ability to work in space limited work area on continuous basis.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis

• Ability to perform the physical aspects of the role following recommended practices, with an emphasis on safety and injury prevention
