Job summary

Vomela Commercial Group in Michigan is seeking a Production Operator to support efficient printing and finishing operations and ensure products meet technical specifications. You will follow job travelers, track work orders, inspect sheets, and uphold MPI standards while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

The role emphasizes quality, adherence to procedures, and collaboration with supervisors. On-site position with benefits and opportunities for training.

Qualifications

• Vision must be correctable to 20/20.
• Must be able to accurately distinguish and identify colors.
• Must be able to stand for the duration of the scheduled shift, including overtime as required.
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 65 pounds.
• Must be able to push and/or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to perform postural movements, including occasional bending, throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand job traveler and utilize computer job tracking system.
• Visually inspect for substandard sheets during all operations.
• Maintain efficiency and quality benchmarks per MPI standards.
• Request any training required for you to succeed.
• Maintain organized and clean work environment.
• Enter recommendations to management for improvements in areas such as personal safety, product quality, yields, or costs.
• Practice safe working habits as detailed in the Company Safety Manual and Employee Handbook.
• Do other tasks as directed by a supervisor.

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

• Perform production operations to obtain utmost and ongoing efficiency
• Support ongoing quality improvement processes to ensure all deliverables are produced defect free and aligned with technical specifications
• Follow standard operational procedures and work practices and policies to ensure consistency of output
• Produce goods as specified on the job ticket or other instructions given by the supervisor or team leader
• Follow MPI procedures per job work center
