Harmon Scrap Metal in Alabama is seeking a General Laborer to support yard operations and customer service. You will inspect loads, process materials, and perform landscaping, maintenance, and light construction tasks while keeping safety and cleanliness a priority.

You will work as part of a team, wear PPE, follow safety standards, and participate in training. Prior construction/general labor experience and a high school diploma are preferred; forklift cert and metals knowledge are a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Helping customers unload and inspect materials
• Upgrade and process materials as needed
• Safely operate company vehicle while running errands
• Operate small hand tools and equipment such as lawn mowers, weed eaters, rakes, power tools, etc.
• Clean and maintain areas as assigned
• Assist in the yard as needed
• Attend and participate in internal meetings and complete required training
• Performs other related duties as defined by management

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of times on uneven surfaces
• Ability to lift, push, or pull a minimum of 50 pounds
• Frequently climb up and down ladders; crouch and bend at the knee; stoop or bend at the waist; reach arms overhead; and twist and turn at the neck and trunk
• Continually handle and grasp levers and dials; continuous leg and foot motion when using pedals
