Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of experience in fuel handling, industrial operations, construction, warehouse, mechanical, laborer, or shop environments.
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work safely in Arctic weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Ability to meet all company background, screening, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work a 3x3 rotational schedule with 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Fuel Handling & Operations: Assist with the safe loading, offloading, and transfer of fuel and industrial products.
  • Fuel Handling & Operations: Monitor fuel storage systems and equipment to ensure efficient operations.
  • Fuel Handling & Operations: Perform daily tank readings, inspections, and equipment checks.
  • Fuel Handling & Operations: Document fuel transfers, inspections, and quality control activities accurately.
  • Equipment & Facility Support: Support routine maintenance and housekeeping activities throughout the facility.
  • Equipment & Facility Support: Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Equipment & Facility Support: Assist with basic mechanical tasks and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Safety & Compliance: Conduct inspections and report equipment or safety concerns promptly.
  • Team Support: Communicate effectively with supervisors, mechanics, drivers, and fellow team members.

About the Role

The General Laborer supports fuel handling operations, equipment inspections, facility maintenance, and general shop activities at our Prudhoe Bay location. This position helps ensure safe, efficient operations while maintaining compliance with company, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Fuel Handling & Operations

  • Assist with the safe loading, offloading, and transfer of fuel and industrial products
  • Monitor fuel storage systems and equipment to ensure efficient operations
  • Perform daily tank readings, inspections, and equipment checks
  • Document fuel transfers, inspections, and quality control activities accurately

Equipment & Facility Support

  • Support routine maintenance and housekeeping activities throughout the facility
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Assist with basic mechanical tasks and equipment troubleshooting
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct inspections and report equipment or safety concerns promptly
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, operational, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in safety meetings and training activities

Team Support

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, mechanics, drivers, and fellow team members
  • Support operational needs across departments as required
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in remote industrial environments
  • Familiarity with fuel handling operations
  • Basic mechanical maintenance experience
  • Forklift or heavy equipment experience

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb, bend, kneel, crouch, and work on uneven terrain
  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme Arctic weather conditions
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Must successfully pass a Level 2 Functional Capacity Examination prior to hire
