Job summary

Shafer Redi-Mix, Inc. in Lansing, MI is seeking a full-time yardman to maintain our plant grounds and stockpile areas. You will perform equipment maintenance, assist dispatch, and train to operate a front-end loader.

The ideal candidate lifts up to 50 lbs, holds a valid driver's license, and has a high school diploma or GED. Benefits include health insurance, life insurance, 401(k) contributions, and PTO after start.

• Must lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Must be able to climb excessive heights.
• Must have a clean/valid Driver's License.

Shafer Redi-Mix, Incis looking for a full-time hard-working, enthusiastic, and reliableyardman to help maintain our Lansing plant.

Our yardmen keep grounds and operations of plant location in a neat and orderly condition by performing the following duties:

• Maintains aggregate stockpile area.
• Conducts scheduled maintenance program on plant equipment.
• Maintains communication with Dispatch regarding needs or problems relating to plant.
• Train to operate front-end loader.
• Other Duties as assigned.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Must be able to climb excessive heights. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
