Position Summary

As a General Labor for Carl Buddig & Company, you will be responsible for preparing/packaging fresh and frozen meat products for shipment with a safety‑minded attitude that maintains and enhances a safety culture for the benefit of the Company and its employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Pack fresh and frozen meat products.
• Must have the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to effectively follow work instructions.
• Assist in changeovers as needed.
• Ensure conformance to specifications.
• Able to read and understand written instructions.
• Ability to perform frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Successfully complete a pre‑employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Load and unload items from machines, carts, and dollies.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing results as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to legally work in the United States.
• High School Diploma/GED is preferred.
• 1‑2 years related work experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP and USDA regulations preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Working Conditions

• Must be able to work in temperatures below 40 degrees.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to push and pull items in excess of 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
• Able to grip and grasp small objects repeatedly.
• Able to work in a cold, damp environment.
• Able to stand 8‑10 hours per day.
• Able to bend, twist, and stoop on an occasional basis.
• Ability to perform frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Must have good hand and eye coordination.
• Must have the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 40 or more hours per week (overtime if necessary).

Compensation & Benefits

Pay rate for this position is $17.00 per hour.
