Position Summary

Entry‑level, seasonal position capable of operating departmental equipment necessary in the production and/or packaging of quality pumpkin, and abiding by GMP and Safety rules. Specific duties and machinery required to operate will vary per department.

Pay and Compensation

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $16.85. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Capable of meeting or exceeding designated efficiency and productivity rates.
  • Ability to differentiate between the acceptable and unacceptable quality of raw, semi‑finished, and finished materials.
  • Accurately fill out paperwork, such as documenting the start time of running the product and initial temperature.
  • Perform and rotate each of the positions on the assigned line and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems, make basic repairs, and document adjustments as needed.
  • Assist other employees and departments as needed.
  • Cross‑train on other production line equipment and positions.
  • Work 12‑hour shifts, 6 days a week, including weekends, holidays, and potential nights.
  • Work in a seasonal environment, temporary assignment of about 2‑4 months.
  • Work in both indoor and outdoor environments in all weather conditions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED is desired.
  • Two or more years of prior experience operating production equipment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of equipment troubleshooting and repair.
  • Ability to operate a forklift if needed.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Possess basic computer knowledge.
