Qualifications

• Must be comfortable performing physically demanding work for the duration of the shift.

• Unload trucks, trailers, and containers by hand.
• Lift, carry, move, and stack boxes, products, and other materials.
• Sort and organize products as they are unloaded.
• Place products on pallets or in designated warehouse areas.
• Assist with palletizing, wrapping, and securing loads.
• Verify products are placed in the correct staging or storage areas.
• Maintain a clean and organized dock and work area.
• Identify and report damaged products or unsafe conditions.
• Work efficiently as part of a team to complete truck unloading within required timeframes.
• Follow all warehouse and workplace safety procedures.
• Perform other general warehouse and labor duties as assigned.

General Labor – Truck Unloading Job Summary

The General Laborer is responsible for manually unloading products and materials from trucks and containers. This is a physically demanding position requiring frequent lifting, carrying, stacking, and moving of materials throughout the shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Unload trucks, trailers, and containers by hand.
• Lift, carry, move, and stack boxes, products, and other materials.
• Sort and organize products as they are unloaded.
• Place products on pallets or in designated warehouse areas.
• Assist with palletizing, wrapping, and securing loads.
• Verify products are placed in the correct staging or storage areas.
• Maintain a clean and organized dock and work area.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
• Ability to perform continuous physical activity, including lifting, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and carrying.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work inside trailers and containers where temperatures may vary depending on weather conditions.
• Must be able to safely perform repetitive manual material-handling tasks.
