Packer- Food Manufacturer
2nd shift
$17.00 + shift prem.

  • Setting the Pace - Inspecting equipment and performing basic adjustments and preventative maintenance when needed

RESPONSIBILITIES: *Please note you may be asked to do the following tasks*:
  • Read and verify product order or invoices
  • Detect and verbally communicate with co-workers and superiors about errors in products or processes
  • Use basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing
  • Use a computer and its components such as a keyboard, mouse, and printer
  • Work independently with little supervision.
  • Repetitive motions such as standing, stooping, bending and lifting using proper lifting techniques
  • Lift up to 50 pounds – ask for assistance for anything over 50 pounds
  • Stand on feet to perform tasks for periods of 8 to 12 hours
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, feel or handle; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to sit, stand, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to follow instructions, verbal and written
  • Physically must be able to stand for long hours and be able to lift at or above the waist at a maximum of fifty pound
  • Understanding of basic math to solve problems and manage through on-the -job tasks
  • Must be able to rotate between all 3 shifts and work weekends
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
  • Experience in the food manufacturing industry or a related position
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Demonstrated ability to operate machinery
  • A sense of humor & love for Pop-Tarts
Minimum Physical Requirements:
  • Walk/stand for a shift and be able to twist, bend, stoop and reach.
  • Push/pull objects as required.
  • Frequently lift objects weighing 50 pounds from waist-level.
  • Hear and talk on an ongoing basis in an atmosphere of moderate and loud noise.
  • Work in cold, warm, hot, humid and/or wet conditions.
  • Climb stairs, ladders, equipment scaffolding, and heights as required.
  • Come into tactical contact with tree nuts and peanuts
