Job summary

Barge Facility Technicians at Zen-Noh Grain Corporation in Convent, LA perform hands-on loading/unloading of barges and trucks, and assist with general facility maintenance to support grain quality. The role requires safety focus and adaptability in an industrial setting.

Ideal candidates will work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and be able to operate in extreme weather and dusty conditions. Training is provided and growth opportunities exist within the plant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No experience required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks: lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders/stairs, working at heights, and working in confined spaces.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in extreme weather and high dust environments.
• Ability to pass all required FRA and DOT testing (where applicable).
• Ability to use PPE and meet fit testing requirements.
• Basic math and communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions and complete documentation.
