Job summary

ONCALL Staffing Inc. is seeking an on-site general labor worker to support production operations in a dairy food environment. You will assist operators, move materials, load/unload items, and ensure accurate labeling and packaging.

The role requires standing for long periods, ability to lift heavy loads, and adherence to GMP and safety rules. Prior warehouse or production experience is preferred, with emphasis on teamwork and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Education & experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Warehouse, production, or general labor experience preferred.
• Food manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist operators as necessary and load/unload materials, ingredients, parts, products, cases, crates, and pallets.
• Move, stack, or place items on conveyors manually or by mechanized means.
• Deliver production items to designated work areas and pack products by hand.
• Sort, bundle, and fill containers or place products in assembled units.
• Label and identify product loads accurately and construct/deconstruct shipping boxes.
• Maintain cleanliness and general housekeeping of assigned areas.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and report quality or operational issues.

General Purpose

Perform a variety of general duties of a basic, repetitive, and/or manual nature in support of production operations within a food manufacturing environment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist operators as necessary

• Load and/or unload materials, ingredients, parts, products, cases, crates, and pallets

• Move, stack, or place items on conveyors manually or by mechanized means

• Deliver production items to designated work areas

• Pack products (cheese, sour cream, drinkable yogurts, and related dairy products) into crates or boxes by hand

• Sort, bundle, and fill containers or place products in assembled units

• Label and identify product loads accurately

• Construct or deconstruct shipping boxes

• Maintain cleanliness and general housekeeping of assigned areas

• Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly

• Report quality or operational issues to supervisors immediately

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations

• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Warehouse, production, or general labor experience preferred

• Food manufacturing experience is a plus

• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals)

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to work in a food production environment handling dairy products (cheese, sour cream, drinkable yogurts, etc.)

• Heavy lifting required (consistent lifting of production materials)

• Slip-resistant boots are REQUIRED – candidates without them will not qualify

• Must be able to stand for long periods during the shift
