General Labor in Concrete Manufacturing / Pipe Plant Team Member - County Materials (Construction)

County Materials Corporation is a leading manufacturer and trusted industry resource for concrete construction and landscape products. For more than 75 years, their products have been used to build communities across the United States.

We are seeking a Plant Team - Pipe member for our customer, County Materials, located in Springfield, IL.

Job Duties:

• Set up and clean up steel pallets for concrete molds
• Cut, bend, and place welded wire mesh and steel rebar
• Prepare forms for filling concrete
• Clean up and maintain equipment after daily runs
• Assemble forms & molds for concrete production
• Perform general facility maintenance and housekeeping
• Perform manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials
• Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions
• Other tasks as needed

Work Environment:

• Indoor and outdoor conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperatures
• Work near moving machinery and equipment, potential electrical hazards
• Noise exposure

Physical Requirements:

• Carrying/Lifting 10 - 40 pounds frequently
• Carrying/Lifting over 40 pounds occasionally
• Standing, walking, climbing, squatting, crouching, kneeling, bending
• Pushing, pulling, reaching above shoulder

Experience & Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Knowledge of industry concepts, practices, and procedures preferred
• Good judgment in work site operations
• Ability to work well in a team
• Self-motivated and flexible
• Safety conscious
• Willingness to learn and train
