Job summary

Steel Tech Enterprises in Williamsport, Indiana is seeking a dependable General Labor worker to support grinding, shot blasting, press operation, stamping, and saw work. You will read blueprints, perform quality checks, maintain documentation, and follow safety procedures in a manufacturing setting.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, ability to read measuring tools and safety rules, and a willingness to learn. Overtime may be required; safety gear must be worn at all times.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to learn and be trained on various General Labor tasks.
  • General skills with hand and air tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to read different measuring tools.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs general duties as assigned

  • Shot blasting
  • Operating a press
  • Stamping
  • Operating a Saw

  • Follow instructions from all TMF Center and equipment documentation, including Shop Traveler, equipment manuals, and blueprints.
  • Maintain all required documentation
  • Exhibits consistent safe working habits
  • Wears all required Personal protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Maintain clean, clutter-free work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to routinely bend and squat

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This is a safety-sensitive position. This work is performed in a manufacturing setting with moderate to high levels of noise due to machinery and equipment processes. This position requires the use of personal protective equipment for safety compliance and may include overtime as deemed necessary by management.
